My favorite new afternoon snack: one slice boule, drizzled with olive oil and heated in a skillet, finished with sliced tomato, sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Spring is here in the south, and with daily bike rides through the city, refueling is a must. Enjoy!

My mother is on her way into New Orleans, and I’m trying to come up with the perfect combination of places to see and food to eat, starting tonight. Like crafting the perfect bite, I’m up for the challenge.
