Oh, Vegetables

Carrots, Asparagus, Red Potatoes, Green Beans and Corn

Oh vegetables. I will be cooking you tonight, and eating you, despite the 95 degree heat at 7:30 p.m. You are covered in olive oil, salt and pepper. You’ll be sitting on a plate next to salmon my friend caught on the river in Alaska, sharing space with tomato, cucumber, garlic and basil grown on my front balcony that’s spent the afternoon sitting in balsamic. Oh, vegetables, prepare yourselves for the heat.

    Oh….. I am hungry 🙂 we just came back from getting more of those salmon…. Too bad I am out of the olive oil that I had around in NOLA!
