Bahn Mi OH My: Pho Tau Bay on the West Bank

August 24, 2010

Take the Mississippi River bridge to the West Bank (which is actually east of where I am).  Be shocked at the number of cars in the industrial parking lot of Pho Tau Bay, and the number of people enjoying lunch out on a Tuesday. Stumble through a menu full of words you aren’t confident to say. Order by number. Wait 3 minutes. Be shocked at the amount of food and its deliciousness. Be sad when the $3.75 bahn mi is gone, the chicken liver spread worth dreaming about, spending the afternoon in your belly. Thank Elsa for taking you there.
